This limited release wine is a fitting tribute to our forefather, James Graham, who became the First Duke Of Montrose in 1707.
A beautifully balanced and complex Yarra Valley Shiraz; vibrant red in colour. Lifted aromas of blueberry crumble, cherry and violet arouse the senses, while the palate is bursting with rich blackcurrant, licorice and clove flavours with an elegant and lingering finish.
Hand-picked and sorted from the Kangaroo Ground vineyard and co-fermented wild with 3% Viognier in open pots. The whole berry ferment was pumped over twice daily and when dry, left on skins for 10 days maceration. Pressed to new (30%) and seasoned French oak for 18 months maturation.
