Vintage 2025 Wrap Up

People ask, "How was vintage?" We reply, "Fruitful." Some laugh, and some look confused — but fruitful is a thing. With mild, warm weather during flowering and fruit set, the growing season started ideally and continued so: no extreme extended heat, cool nights, and perfectly timed top-up rains gave the vines exactly what they needed to thrive.

With happy vines came more berries and slightly bigger bunches. Early varieties ripened a little earlier than usual (Gewürztraminer and Pinot Grigio), then the weather moderated further to provide consistent, predictable development — leading to lovely, delicious flavours, optimal ripeness and balanced acids across all varieties. Fruitful equals excellent.
