Our story

Rooted in family. Shaped by place.

Discover the family, vineyards, winemakers and people behind Boat O'Craigo—an independent Yarra Valley estate built around thoughtful wine, genuine hospitality and two distinctive vineyard sites.

Boat O'Craigo

A family estate with a clear sense of place.

Boat O'Craigo is a second-generation, family-owned winery with vineyards in Healesville and Kangaroo Ground. Since the early 2000s, the estate has focused on small-batch wines that reflect the conditions, character and cool-climate personality of each site.

The Graham family continues to guide the business with the same practical spirit that shaped its beginning: care for the vineyard, respect for the fruit and a welcoming experience for every visitor.

The Graham family

Built carefully, carried forward personally.

What began as a family vision has grown into a working estate where vineyard, cellar door, restaurant and events all share one identity. Today, the next generation continues to evolve Boat O'Craigo while protecting the warmth and independence that guests value.

The vineyards

Two sites. Distinct expressions.

Different elevations, aspects and soils give each vineyard its own rhythm—and each wine its own unmistakable character.

Estate site

Healesville

Nestled near the foothills of the Black Spur, the Healesville vineyard benefits from a cooler site and varied elevation. It is home to varieties including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and aromatic whites.

Western site

Kangaroo Ground

Warmer and more exposed, Kangaroo Ground supports generous, structured varieties while still retaining the freshness associated with the Yarra Valley's cool-climate conditions.

Winemaking

Let the vineyard lead.

Our wines are shaped by close attention to site, season and fruit. The winemaking approach is measured rather than heavy-handed, preserving natural varietal character and the individuality of each vineyard.

  • Winemaking style Small-batch and site-led
  • Fruit source Healesville and Kangaroo Ground
