2014 Black Spur Pinot Noir

Abundant winter and spring rain saw vines enter the season without stress, resulting in even budburst across the Yarra Valley. Cool, wet conditions during spring led to lower yields, with flowering impacted.A warm January was followed by near-perfect ripening conditions, with moderate days and cool nights allowing fruit to reach optimal flavour at lower sugar levels. Early varieties including Pinot Noir, produced reduced yields, but with excellent concentration and depth of flavour.
