2023 Kincardine Grenache

Our picturesque vineyard at Kangaroo Ground is one of the highest sites in the Yarra Valley. A now extinct volcano, this site has rare, black basalt soils and plenty of sunshine, making it a unique site for ripening Grenache which thrives in warmer conditions.The fruit for this noble wine was hand-picked and sorted, then whole berry fermented on skins in small open pots for 30 days, before being matured for 10 months in new and seasonsed French oak.Bright ruby in colour, the result is a complex wine with vibrant colour, showing flavours of rapberry, blood orange and spice, with a fresh and lively finish.
