2024 Black Spur Gewurztraminer

Gewurztraminer (ga-VERTZ-trah-mee-ner) is an aromatic wine grape variety, used in white wines, and performs best in cooler climates. In English, it is sometimes referred to colloquially as Gewurz (meaning "herb" or "spice"). While Gewurztraminer wine is inherently German, that's not the region in which it's most famous. The majority of Gewurztraminer is made in Alsace, a cool, dry region of France that borders Germany.Golden in colour, Gewurztraminer wine has a tropical fruity flavour taste, coming in flavours like lychee, peach, pineapple, melon, ginger, apricot, and rose petals. Light and luscious, this wine is easy to love!Our estate grown Gewurztraminer comes from our Healesville vineyard at the foot hills of the Black Spur Range. Bordered by the Grace Burn Creek, this site’s alluvial river soil and cool climate consistently produces outstanding aromatic fruit characters.This delightful single vineyard perfumed wine has a distinct musk, lychee and orange blossom bouquet, with a crisp floral and textural palate that pairs beautifully with Asian flavours.
