2024 N'oubliez Gamay

Our picturesque vineyard at Kangaroo Ground is one of the highest sites in the Yarra Valley. A now extinct volcano, this vineyard has rare black basalt soils and plenty of sunshine, making it a unique site for achieving extra ripeness and flavour.This pretty and delicate wine was made from a blend of three Gamay clones from vines now over 20 years old. The fruit was hand-picked and sorted then 100% whole bunch fermented using wild yeast in small open pots for two weeks before being matured in neutral French oak barrels.Bright red in colour, this wine has lifted flavours of raspberry, cranberry and pomegranate with subtle confectionery tones and a fresh, lively finish.
