2021 Methode Traditionnelle Sparkling

This single vineyard Méthode Traditionnelle Sparkling was handcrafted from selected clones of Chardonnay (55%) and Pinot Noir (45%) grown on our cool climate vineyard in Healesville. Méthode Traditionnelle, the most premium Sparkling made outside of Champagne, is the term used to describe the method in which the wine was produced, that is using the same method as the French make Champagne. For legal reasons, any sparkling wine made outside of the Champagne region are unable to use the term Champagne. The wine displays elegance and finesse typical of cool climate sparkling wine. An alluring bouquet of brioche, fresh dough and citrus blossom give way to white peach and fresh nectarine on the palate, amplified by an extended period on lees. Ideal as an apertif or a perfectway to celebrate.
